About Sunny Kim

Dr. Sunny Kim, Ph.D., BCBA, is the founder of Sunny’s Behavior Services and a specialist in Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), a naturalistic, play-based approach that emphasizes motivation and meaningful engagement. She earned her Ph.D. in Education, with an emphasis in Special Education, Disability, and Risk Studies, from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2014. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and serves as the Applied Behavior Analysis Program Manager for UCSB Professional and Continuing Education, where she teaches graduate-level coursework in behavior management. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Kim has supported more than 100 individuals and families across diverse settings. Her work has contributed to research and publications in social development, inclusion for children with autism, staff training, and cultural responsiveness in care. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Kim enjoys traveling with her family and values spending quality time exploring new places and experiences together.

Emma Perez

Clinical Director

Ms. Emma Perez brings over a decade of experience supporting diverse student populations, supervising clinicians, and partnering with families through parent education across home, school, and community settings. Her work is rooted in building meaningful connections and supporting each child through individualized, play-based, and evidence-based intervention. Ms. Perez’s clinical approach emphasizes Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), functional communication, and client-centered care, with a strong focus on motivation, engagement, and real-life application. Ms. Perez is dedicated to promoting skill development and reducing challenging behaviors through thoughtful, individualized, and data-informed programs. She is committed to creating supportive, engaging environments where children feel understood and can make meaningful, lasting progress. Outside of her clinical work, Ms. Perez enjoys social dance, solving puzzles, and spending time in nature. She values balance, curiosity, and connection, both in and outside of her work with families.

Erica Johnson

BCBA

Ms. Erica Johnson has over a decade of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, supporting both children and adults in building meaningful skills and reaching their goals. Her work focuses on developing functional, individualized programs that promote positive behavior change and real-world success. She is passionate about creating engaging, supportive learning environments where each individual feels understood and motivated. Ms. Johnson believes that intervention should be tailored to the unique needs of each client, with an emphasis on connection, consistency, and meaningful progress. Outside of her work, Ms. Johnson enjoys staying active through hiking and running, and spending quality time making memories with her children.

Angelo Guillory

Lead behavior technician

Mr. Angelo Guillory is a dedicated behavioral therapist with experience supporting individuals across a range of ages and needs, from early childhood through adulthood. He has worked in both home and school settings, helping individuals build meaningful skills and increase independence in real-world environments. His work focuses on developing communication, daily living, and social skills through individualized, supportive care. Mr. Guillory has experience implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting data, and supporting the reduction of challenging behaviors through positive, reinforcement-based strategies. He also emphasizes collaboration with families to promote consistency and long-term success. Mr. Guillory was drawn to the field through a personal connection, which continues to shape his compassionate, client-centered approach. He is especially passionate about building strong relationships and creating supportive environments where individuals feel understood and empowered to make meaningful progress. He is committed to ongoing professional growth and is currently working toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Lilyth Flores

Ms. Flores has been a member of the Sunny’s Behavior Services team since January 2026. She received her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Pepperdine University. As a first-generation student with a learning disability, Ms. Flores brings a unique perspective to her work and is dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse needs. She is passionate about helping each individual build meaningful skills and believes that with the right support, every person can learn, grow, and thrive.

Heejung Chae

Ms. Chae brings over 25 years of experience in the field of special education, supporting individuals with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning differences. She holds a Master of Arts in Special Education from Ewha Womans University. Her work is grounded in creating meaningful, individualized learning experiences that support growth, independence, and confidence. She is currently pursuing her Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification to further expand her clinical expertise and continue providing high-quality, evidence-based support.

Chris Kolleff

Mr. Kolleff has over a decade of experience in the field, supporting individuals with diverse needs across a variety of settings. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. His work is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves to feel understood and supported. Mr. Kolleff is dedicated to creating a consistent, encouraging environment where individuals can build meaningful skills and improve their overall quality of life. He emphasizes the importance of building trust, listening closely, and recognizing the small steps that lead to lasting progress. Mr. Kolleff is committed to helping each individual grow with confidence and achieve meaningful outcomes.
